CGSC Charges and Fees to For-Profit Organizations
Charges are on a Per-Strain Basis
The per-strain charge to for-profit companies, beginning March. 15, 2008 is $100/strain.
Exceptions are:
the special strain kits (e.g., Hfr kits and F-prime kits) of 16-19 strains, which will have a flat rate of $1100; the 5-strain gene-disruption set of Datsenko and Wanner, 2000 (PNAS 97:6640 ) $450; and very large sets, such as Singer-Gross Tn, CRIM, portions of the Keio collection,or other sets or subsets > 15 strains, which require discussion at the time of the request.
We do not want any of these charges to be prohibitive or in any way inhibit use of our strains; we are open to discussion about specific needs and constraints at any time. Contact the CGSC
How To Pay For Strains:
You do not need to pay prior to our sending the strains. We will send the strains requested along with an invoice that gives information on how to pay by check or bank transfer. If you wish to pay by CREDIT CARD, DO NOT SEND THE INFORMATION TO US BY EMAIL. Please call 203-432-3536 or include the following information in a FAX to 203-432-6161, clearly addressing it to the Coli Genetic Stock Center, 830 KBT, 432-3536:
- Credit Card Number
- VCode
- Name
- Expiration Date
- Street Address and zip for the card holder
- Our Invoice/Request number
