Strain Comments:

• The name of the strain was changed 10/2011 because the lpxD allele was identified by sequencing as lpxD201 instead of lpxD200. (See the Dicker, 1991 ref.)
• lpxD201(ts)-- This allele has three amino acid substitutions compared to WT, I172F, G228D, and G252S
• spoT1-- In addition to the 6bp insertion, there is a C to T transition resulting in an H257Y substitution.
• lpxD201(ts) was formerly called firA200
• ts = Temperature Sensitive
