• We have not yet been able to track the derivation of this strain, so we are unable to assign valid allele numbers and we are not sure if the genotype is complete.
• melB-(ts,LiD)-- allows growth on melibiose at 30 C, but not at 37 C; after several days at 37 C, spontaneous revertants will arise.
• = tetracycline resistant
• LiD = lithium dependent
• strR = streptomycin resist.
• ts = Temperature Sensitive
